This policy applies to Wise Arabic Membership. Paddle is the merchant of record and seller for the transaction. Nothing in this policy or Paddle's policy limits mandatory rights you have under consumer law.
The free trial
Your first Membership starts with a 14-day free trial. Payment details are collected when the trial starts, and the first charge is made when the trial ends unless you cancel first. A returning customer who has previously held a Wise Arabic subscription does not receive another trial and is charged when the new subscription starts.
Cancelling your subscription
You can cancel at any time through Settings → Account and Billing → Manage billing, which opens Paddle's customer portal, through the link in Paddle's subscription email, or by emailing contact@wisearabic.com for help. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current trial or paid billing period. If you cancel during the trial, you are not charged. If you cancel after paying, access continues until the end of the paid period and no further renewal is taken. Cancelling does not itself refund the current period.
When a refund may apply
- Your statutory withdrawal rights. Depending on where you live and the stage of the subscription — including the initial order, conversion from a free trial, or a renewal — consumer law or Paddle's terms may give you a period in which to withdraw. The exact period and any conditions vary by transaction and location. A right can also be affected when you expressly ask for immediate access to a digital service or content and acknowledge this at checkout. Paddle's checkout, your transaction confirmation and the version of its refund policy in effect when the transaction occurred explain the rights and deadlines that apply. Any mandatory right that applies to you takes priority over this policy.
- If the service is faulty. If Membership is not provided with reasonable care and skill, or is unavailable for a significant period, you can ask for the problem to be fixed, a price reduction, or an appropriate refund — under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 if you are a UK consumer, or the equivalent consumer law where you live.
- If a charge is wrong. If you are charged unexpectedly, twice, or the wrong amount, tell Paddle or us as soon as you notice so the charge can be investigated and any mistake corrected.
- Anything else. Outside mandatory rights, transactions are normally non-refundable. You may still ask Paddle to consider your circumstances under its refund policy. Cancelling an annual plan part-way through the year does not normally produce a pro-rata refund; access normally continues to the end of the paid year unless Paddle grants a refund, in which case access to the relevant Membership ends, or the law requires another remedy.
How refunds are processed
Paddle handles and decides transaction refunds as merchant of record. To request one, use Paddle Buyer Support and provide the email address used at checkout and your transaction details. You can also email contact@wisearabic.com from the email address on your Wise Arabic account; we will investigate product or account issues and help Paddle assess the request.
Eligible refunds are processed by Paddle using the same payment method where possible and within 14 days of approval. The time taken to appear may still depend on the payment method and financial institution. If Paddle grants a refund, access to the relevant Membership ends under Paddle's refund policy. A refund does not by itself cancel the subscription, so Wise Arabic support will separately arrange any cancellation or access revocation needed to stop future billing and enforce that access outcome. If a duplicate, incorrect or unauthorised charge appears, contact Paddle or us promptly so it can be investigated. Do not include full card details in an email to Wise Arabic.
